If you have just turned 18 or will do so soon, you will usually start to receive payments from public authorities. Perhaps you have been accepted into an educational programme and will be receiving state education grants. Or you might be moving out and will be entitled to claim housing benefits. Or perhaps you have a job where your employer wants to pay your wage via NemKonto.
No matter what, the public authorities and many employers need a bank account number to make the payments. That is the account called NemKonto. You decide which account should be your NemKonto. You have to state which of your bank accounts should be your NemKonto. You can do so by logging in via the self-service solution on this site. You enter the account number of the account that you want to be your NemKonto.
You need to use MitID if you want to log onto the self-service solution.
